there are lots of birthdays coming up so that means it was cupcake time! christina and i are the cupcake queens. here, she is icing the banana cupcakes with the awesome squeezing-a-plastic-bag technique.
heh--too bad my three blog readers are the only ones to enjoy the prettiness of plastic-bag-piped icing! by the time they get to work, the tupperware has pretty well crushed the icing. luckily they still taste good!
i actually usually try and use those big bowl-sized tupperware things for that very reason, but i only currently have one in my kitchen, and it's in use! i need to stock up on more gladware or something.
There is something so very satisfying about the icing-in-a-bag technique. Thank you for the tip :-)

ReplyDeleteI bought an absurdly giant plastic box for just that very reason - I was made fun of, but there was no squished icing!
ReplyDelete(I probably would have bought something less tall, but that was all they had at Kroger - it's probably meant for...shoe storage or something)
