But I love baking bread and reading about other people baking bread!! It's like wordfoodnerdy now! .... when it's fresh from the oven and lightly buttered!? ooooh yum!

Do you use the instant yeast, or you go old school with the stuff you have to let sit? I found that for lighter breads the non-instant stuff worked better... but heavier ones were better with the instant yeast.

When will you bake again?! Pleas post pictures of the back of the loaf!! I CAN'T WAIT!(MIke)

  2. hahahaha!!! are you my bread stalker now? :)

i use active dry yeast--for most of the recipes i've tried (i.e., 2 of the 3), i mix it with warm water and sugar and it gets all foamy and crazy and then i put it into the flour and stuff. i only have to let it sit for a couple minutes (which is fine b/c i'm measuring flour and chopping basil or whatever). this recipe was for baguettes and it came out pretty baguette-y, so yay active dry yeast.

    yummy w/ fresh cream cheese!

I personally like hearing about food. Food rocks.

But more importantly, you have an actual lunchbox? I'm envisioning one of those little kids ones with hello kitty on the side or something else disturbingly cute.

i do actually have a very cute light blue hello kitty lunchbox, but lately i've been using one they gave out at library employee appreciation day last year, b/c i can fit more sutff into it (like tupperware).

Does it have "LIBRARIANS ROXXOR THE BOOKZORZ!" on the side? Because I think it should have.

baking bread is actually not that hard if you have a kitchenaid mixer with a dough hook. you should make some!
