was interviewed in the nytimes sunday magazine this weekend. i'm definitely excited for his new book, but sad to read that he's lost some of his optimism.

    wow, i never new that most modern houses in israel have built in bomb shelters. what a life!

    the universities do too (although when i was in tel aviv, ours had been converted into a makeshift computer lab).
