and now i shall introduce mr. james bond!!
james bond is a 4 month old, just-under-three-pounds dapper tuxedo cat. this is the best picture i've managed to get of him--thank you cameraphone! there are a couple others posted too.
he's been busy running around and meowing most of the evening--though he did take time out to nuzzle my face (he likes to nuzzle, apparently) and to nap on my lap. he also seems to enjoy watching tv. now he is knowing over all my cd-rs!
so now i'm one step closer to being that stereotypical librarian--yes, i am a single woman with a cat!
he is totally cute, and so very dapper!
ReplyDeletethank you both!
ReplyDeletethe vet's office loooved his name. they said people always give their pets the same name, and black and white cats are almost always called oreo. to prove their point, a woman was picking up a dog named princess as the nurse was telling me this. :)
ok, i know i advised you not to get a kitty, but how could you resist those ears?
ReplyDeleteyou were wise to pick a name vets can pronounce. 'smeagol' is remarkably difficult, and 'magpie' inevitably becomes 'maggie'. sigh!
enjoy him, gal!
He is a very dapper little man-cat, and I love how you describe him nuzzling you and sleeping on your face! I can't wait to meet him!
ReplyDeleteWait ... I thought you were allergic to kittehs!?
ReplyDeleteBut he's so totally worth getting a stuffy head for! What a doll babay! Ar you going to call him James or Bond for short? I had a cat named Dr. Bombay, but he would only answer to "Kitty." So that became his name.
i'm only a little bit allergic to cats--sometimes my eyes get itchy when i'm petting him a lot, but usually it's not a big deal.
ReplyDeletei'm calling him jamesbond, like it's one word, and he does seem to respond. i also call him kitty, smooshy, baby, and other names like that. :)
I don't check the internets for a few days and of course that's when you go and get a kitty!! OMG! Cute! Hooray for cats! :) He's a lucky little guy.

Cute. I named the feral one that hangs out in the back yard "Boots" because of her white feet contrasting with the rest of her black fur. And of course, after she had the baby my friend started calling it "Baby Boots".
ReplyDeletei know!!!
ReplyDeletethere's a plethora of pictures up at flickr. :)
