Andrew Sean Greer's Story of a Marriage
As the title notes, this is the story of a marriage, particularly one in the early 1950s. There were several surprises--Greer crafted his story well--so I'm glad I didn't read the jacket or blurbs too closely. A-.
I felt kind of deflated by this book. It was infuriating how no one talked to Holland to see what he thought about any of it. Also, was he ever even really involved with Annabelle? And it seemed like Sunny grew up to be kind of a douche which bummed me out. I was into the mute doggy, though, and the twin aunts.
