Janet Edwards' Earth Star
The second book in the Earth Girl series finds our protagonist, still a college student, recruited to help lead a vital military operation. Which is COMPLETELY ABSURD, but sometimes you just gotta roll with it. And I was willing to roll with it because it was all very entertaining. Another thing I like about this series is that there is a romance, but it’s kind of on the back-burner, plot wise, which seems rare in YA these days. Anyway, more interesting sci-fi adventures, and I’m excited for book three. A-.
