Rachel Neumeier’s Medical Emergency
This novella deals with some of the backstory of the ship’s doctor in the Invictus series—namely, how did he learn so much about treating people from the other side? It also provides some info on another group that will presumably feature in the upcoming duology set in this world. This was enjoyable! I really like the doctor character. A-.
