Andy Richter will be reunited with Conan . . . as his new announcer. (!!!) This seems like a step down for Richter, but I'm psyched to see them together again. In June. Sigh.

That speech by Rushdie reminded me of an essay A.S. Byatt wrote about Harry Potter, maybe in the NY Times? Anyway she went on and on about everything that's wrong with Harry Potter and it all came out sounding like "you fools, you could be buying millions of copies of my books instead!"
