i didn't even get a picture of the whole thing--it was a shelf full of every possible nativity character (i don't really know which are whihc), only black bears.
The angel bears seem rather unlikely, from a purely aerodynamic standpoint, but it's kind of cute. I'd be willing to trade my Jesus action figure for it. :)

interestingly, the general store (not where the bears were--the other store we went to that day) had a "no photos allowed" sign--perhaps it was fate that most of my photos from there came out all blurry.
i think the woman working in the store with the bears was mostly puzzled that i was taking pictures.

okay - you know I don't really care about such things...but that just strikes me as wrong.

so truly odd. As if Jesus, Mary, Joseph, the wise men, etc - were all bears. who thinks up these things?!
there are some black bears in that part of pennsylvania, so perhaps it was a local artist . . .
