2009 book 87

Angela Carter's Wise Children
A very British-witty look at a complicated family of performers, this novel was really entertaining, if moderately fluffy and unbelievable. B+.

I thought it was a blast! I like unbelievable books if they are unbelievable like that. You know like 100 Years of Solitude unbelievable. Reality is so boring.

Neko Case recommended this one in Paste, too.

Yeah, I'm not dissing it by calling it unbelievable--it was really a fun story. I kind of wish they'd make a movie version.
