It's definitely the shift key thing. You should start using the shift key.

so if my blog was only about books, and i lived in new york and was funny, and was willing to capitalize, i too could be on npr?

ehhh . . . it's not worth it.

it's all about self-promotion, baby - he's a comic, so he promotes himself, naturally.

(and I resist using the shift key myself)

self-promotion jsut seems so . . . tacky. sigh. i guess i am destined to wither away in obscurity!

Who wrote that piece of trash article? I see no name attached ot it. I feel like I must write in and complain. Or rather praise their work but suggest a better subject.

I think the article is just a brief summary of a radio piece . . . but I didn't hear it, so who knows.

Ha! 50 books? When I was in first grade I won a blue ribbon and FOUR DOLLARS (it was a loong time ago, so four dollars was a lot of money to a first grader back then) for reading 54 books in a school year--the most in my class. Of course, they were first-grade-level books, so they were really easy, but still!

Now I don't have enough time to read as much, alas ...
