2011 book 161

Meg Cabot's Big Boned
Pretty much the same as the last one--you have to suspend a great deal of disbelief, but fun story and very likable characters. I could do without the really really bad fake song lyrics at the start of every chapter, though. B+.

What is the dealio with those titles? They sound self-improvement-y and fat-empowerment-y, and likely to lead to a lot of 'It's not what you think' convos with people.

I know, and I also think it's weird to make the protagonist's weight like her main feature, when she has so many other characteristics. Surely the titles could have referred to her pop star past instead of her pants size.
