what jews do on christmas

Or this one, at any rate.

I actually planned to drive to various places in town with my Holga, but it's been pouring for the last day or so and so I'm going to stay inside instead. Lukcily VH-1 is playing all sorts of non-holiday programming, and I also have Pete and Pete season 2, which I have been saving for just this occasion. Later I will reheat some of the channa masala I made for dinner the other night, b/c eating leftovers on Christmas is a family tradition. I will also probably knit. And read.

Loads of fun!

Happy Day After Christmas!1 (;

Just wanted you to know that i got the Lomo Fisheye for Christmas, and it's pretty much all your fault--i looked up the Holga when you started talking about it, and from there found the Fisheye and added them both to my list. We'll have to have a lomo-off or something. *grin* Anyway, thanks for mentioning the Holga--i'm very excited about my fisheye, and excited to see what pics you end up getting with your Holga.

And say hi to Pete and Pete for me. (;

i've been really frustrated with the place i;ve been getting my pics processed--they don't process the ones they think are mistakes, which are the ones i'm most curious to see! i'm definitely intrigued by the fisheye too--let me know if you post pics anywhere.

Hrm. You should see if you can stick a note under 'special instructions' that basically says dude, i want all of my prints, even if they're all just black or look messed up.

I know of a pro lab in St. Pete's. I'll see if they do any non-pro development--they may be interested/willing to take you on if you're shooting medium format, which is generally considered a pro size. It would involve mailing your film in, but is probably worth the hassle.

Surly and i have been having a few issues with our local lab--they do color correction, which drives us crazy, as we often do quite a bit of color correction and manipulation ourselves. But it's a local shop, so we've been able to talk to them about it. I highly recommend looking up your local camera store, if you haven't already--ours has great deals and it's nice being able to actually *talk* to people.

Regardless, good luck with your processing issues.
