I was out running errands this afternoon as a break from packing and moving and came across this publicity thingum for Harry Potter 7. I think this lends credence to the "Snape is actually a good guy" theory (which I totally believe), or else why would plot point that be such a big marketing thing?

i totally believe that theory, too.
most of the die-hard fans i know--the kind who think about things like this!--agree with us, but i've met a few who haven't and refused to be swayed. i think book 6 makes it pretty obvious, but it's like when all those little kids were aghast at the ron-hermione pairing, and j.k. rowling was like, "i've been hinting at this since book 2!!" which she had. i mean, she drops hints pretty heavily.
