textbooks

$317.42 for four books--i think that's a record for me [and god knows there'll probably be a few more i end up needing]. i miss being a liberal arts major, when the books were all like thirty dollars or less.

I think we should have one of these in the basement of Manning, next to the snack machine. Probably won't save you any money, but still, it would be cool. :)

i know, that's such a cool idea!! and i maintain that an addiction to books is way better than most of the alternative. plus, instead of spending money on vending machine candy, i'd use it for books instead! it's a win-win situation. who can we contact to get those in america?

stupid law school!

it looks like i might get to return one of my books, which would be nice--it means i'll have more money to spend on the ones that will inevitably be on the syllabus but aren't required texts.

do you wind up using your books during the semester? i never do, so i don't buy them anymore. the closest was aacr2, which was so unwieldy that i never brought it to school and ended up using the one on reserve.

i generally think it;s handy to have my own copies of the readings or whatever . . . i mean, use them for what? homework? sure, i use them.
